About Us

"The story behind Spiral King goes back to 2000, when potatoes were not on our menu yet. My dream was to open a boba shop, and that's when I discovered my first location in Cerritos, CA, and named it BobaJoe's. The business was wonderful and went well. Within a few years my sister, Aamena, and I expanded to multiple locations in Orange and Riverside county. 

In 2005, I came across a mobile concession trailer, which is how I started in the mobile event business. I renamed the business to Cruisin Juice and was only selling drinks at the time. As time went on, we made revisions to our menu to find ways to increase sales. We came across spiral potatoes at a fair and decided it would be a great addition to what we already have to offer. We continued to make adjustments to improve taste and presentation, and the potatoes turned out to be a big hit. We never looked back and continue to thrive in places we go. 

I owe my success to my wonderful wife and daughter, who come along with me to all the events- it's not an easy task. There is so much hard work behind the scenes to make it all happen that most people don't realize. My mom taught me values and financial management. She always told me, 'Don't take short cuts in life and stay humble. Be consistent and continue to work hard, and someday you will make it.' And she was right. I consider myself a very lucky person to have a great family and friends that support me. It is a dream come true to have a career that I love and enjoy. 

Seeing all the smiling faces when we serve our spiral potatoes, shaved ice, and other goodies at events brings me happiness. I look forward to my next event and hope to see you out there. Life gives us lemons and we make lemonade. Continue to smile and stay positive."
